This photograph was taken at KGV Playing Fields in Johnstone (Note the old John Lang's Works in the background). Sadly a few of these lads have since passed away. On a brighter note George Newton eventually played for Renfrew Juniors and he scored a goal direct from a corner kick at Hampden Park in the Junior Cup Final (1961/62?). It was a draw on the day and Rob Roy won the replay.
